Our Annual Benefit Gala raises awareness and vital funding for our 20 integrated anti-poverty programs that serve thousands of men, women and children each year. We invite you to join us on November 2nd for a cocktail reception, silent auction and seated dinner.
This year we are celebrating ‘35 Years of Hope’ at Eva’s Village, from its beginnings as a simple soup kitchen in 1982, to the comprehensive network of recovery and support services we offer today to help individuals struggling with poverty, addiction and mental illness.
The program will put a spotlight on the opioid crisis that is gripping our nation, and our efforts to save and change lives in our community. In the face of this epidemic that grows worse each day, the work we do to help people struggling with addiction find hope and a path to recovery has never been more important.
We are pleased to honor Mark Rosenberg, D.O., Chair of Emergency Medicine, Medical Director of Population Health, St. Joseph’s Healthcare System with the “Where Hope Begins Award” and the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth with the “Community Service Award.”
Dr. Rosenberg is leading the effort at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson to reduce opioid prescriptions and to connect opioid overdose survivors with long-term recovery treatment and support through a partnership with Eva’s Opioid Overdose Recovery Program.
The Sisters of Charity, who founded St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1867, have played an integral role in the history of Paterson and in the growth of Eva’s Village since it was established in 1982.
