Eva's Central Intake

Eva's Central Intake began as a vehicle to assess, counsel, and refer clients to our substance abuse programs for men and women. It has evolved into an active community outreach program that offers extensive case management for the poor. The problems dealt with are extremely diverse. A person just released from jail may need to contact a family member, a battered woman may need a safe house for herself and her children, a person may need to undergo detox, or want to enter one of Eva's Recovery Programs for drug or alcohol abuse. Others may need medical care, vouchers for food or clothing, shelter or permanent housing.

Residential Recovery Centers

Eva's Residential Recovery Centers for Men (86 beds) and Women (36 beds) provide treatment for those addicted to drugs or alcohol. Staffed by certified alcohol and drug counselors, the Centers offer a three-phase program usually lasting 9-12 months. Services include comprehensive assessment, group and individual counseling, intensive education about addiction, job training, family support, and on-site 12-step programs. After the initial orientation phase, all participants must be employed and establish savings accounts. The treatment supports the transition from addiction to a life of dignity and independence.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Eva's Intensive Outpatient Program offers counseling, group therapy, education, and aftercare based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria, and a full range of psychosocial services. Afternoon and evening non-residential rehabilitation programs, each comprised of 30 slots (for a total of 60), are made available to those who require this level of treatment.
