Willing hands and hearts.
An essential ingredient in the success of Eva's Village has always been our many dedicated volunteers.
Becoming a volunteer starts with the simple desire to give for the sake of giving, then turning that desire into action by reaching out to get involved. At Eva's Village, volunteers support our mission everyday by sharing their time and talents in our Community Kitchen, mentoring clients in our Workforce Development Program, providing professional services in our Medical & Dental Clinic to our shelter and recovery program clients, and leading programs and classes at our Recovery Center.
Our biggest need for individual volunteers is Monday-Friday from 8 -10:30 am for breakfast and from 10:30 am – 1 pm for lunch in our Community Kitchen. We schedule volunteers several weeks in advance, and we currently do not have weekend opportunities available for individuals. For information about volunteering with a Corporate group, click here.
Please note that all onsite volunteers must be at least 15 years of age to serve in the Community Kitchen. Special off-site volunteer opportunities can be arranged for families and individuals under 15.
All new volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation. The next Orientations are scheduled for Monday, August 8 at 5:30 pm and Tuesday, August 23 at 2:00 pm. Orientations take place at Eva's Village, 393 Main Street, Paterson, NJ 07501.
If you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer, please call Elizabeth Matthews, Volunteer Coordinator, at (973) 523-6220 ext. 248 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or fill out the following form.
