Eva's Community Kitchen provides an average of 1,100 meals daily, including meals for those who reside in Eva's Village homeless shelters and halfway houses. With a small kitchen staff and an army of dedicated volunteers, our team not only offer meals, but engages with guests to try and understand the root causes of their needs, whether it is due to unemployment, homelessness, substance use disorders or mental health challenges. Through these conversations, Eva's staff and volunteers guide guests toward programs that help empower them to lead healthy, independent, financially secure lives.
Eva's Kitchen was founded in 1982 to help feed the hungry.  The first meal consisted of hot dogs and beans served to 30 hungry guests. Today, the Community Kitchen at Eva's Village provides more than 350,000 nutritious meals a year.

Our dedicated team of Community Kitchen volunteers are essential. We welcome the participation of individuals as well as local businesses, religious, civic and educational organizations who choose to volunteer as a group.
