Summer Program for Eva's Kids - Special Notice
We have had to suspend this year’s Summer Program in order to comply with CDC restrictions on activities and requirements for social distancing due to the COVID-19 outbreak .
Protecting the health and wellbeing of the children who live with their mothers at Eva’s Village is always our top priority. Under the leadership of Dr. June Cade, Director of our Childcare and Education Program, our staff will continue to nurture each child who lives in our shelter and halfway house programs, to help them learn and grow, as they heal from trauma, neglect and abuse. We look forward to resuming Eva’s Summer Program as soon as CDC guidelines permit.

The children who live at Eva's Village need your support, especially during this pandemic.
Our Childcare and Education Program depends entirely on the generosity of our donors! Making a gift in any amount will help our kids learn to trust, grow in confidence and find stability! We are grateful to each donor for supporting this program!

Planned and supervised by our education staff, Eva’s Summer Program gives the school-aged children who live with us a chance to reclaim a carefree childhood while their mothers receive the support they need to overcome challenges of homelessness and addiction. Kids are given the freedom to explore new horizons, play, learn new skills and express themselves without worrying if their moms will be ok, or wondering where they will sleep that night, or where their next meal will come from.
Each summer, kids enjoy a mix of educational and recreational activities that expand their horizons and challenge their imaginations- from trips to nature and science centers, to swimming lessons, horseback riding and visits to amusement parks, to opportunities for creative expression through visual arts and movement. Every year, donors arrange a special outing for the kids and their mothers to see a Broadway show. An End-of-Summer Carnival, complete with bounce house, dunk tank, cotton candy and a magician, concludes the program. |
We are grateful to each donor whose generosity makes this program possible!
