Your health, safety and care is our first priority.
Based on the National State of Emergency and guidance at the national, state, and local level to contain the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) - and to protect the health and safety of our clients and community members, Eva's Village has had to suspended or change some of our programs and services until further notice.
CURRENTLY, THE FOLLOWING CHANGES ARE IN EFFECT:
Community Kitchen: On-site, sit-down dining is currently suspended. 'To-go' Breakfast is distributed Monday-Thursday at 9 am, and 'to-go' Lunch is distributed at 12pm and 1pm, Monday-Friday. Extra meals are given on Fridays to carry people through the weekend.
Recovery Community Center at 16 Spring Street re-opened this September !
Walk-ins for admission, referrals to detox or social services are welcome weekdays from 8 am - 4 pm. We have resumed indoor recovery meetings and on-site, outdoor recovery meetings will continue Monday-Friday: "Recovery Power Hour" meets from 9-10 am, and "Sweatin' Into Recovery" meets from 1-2pm.
Please note: masks are required to attend meetings and to enter the building- we will provide a mask if you do not have one. We ask everyone to follow these rules to protect the health and safety of the group:
We want to be sure you get the support you need during this time. If you would like to talk to a peer recovery mentor, please call our Recovery Center at 973-754-6784, Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm.
Culinary School: Our Culinary School has been restructured to resume training. Please click here to view The Culinary School at Eva’s Village’s REOPENING PLAN. We remain committed to caring for our culinary school students and alumni as they try to navigate these uncertain times.
The students whose training was interrupted by COVID-19 are returning in smaller groups this fall to complete their coursework, while maintaining social distancing and COVID-19 precautions.
- We are seeking volunteers Monday-Friday to help with meal preparation and packaging. Volunteers must wear masks and gloves. Please email angela.vance@evasvillage.org or call at 973-523-6220 and ask for Angela Vance if you would like to volunteer your time!
