The Recovery Community Center ​at ​Eva's Village

The Recovery Community Center at Eva’s Village is a recovery-oriented sanctuary in the heart of downtown Paterson, NJ. Since it opened in 2009, more than 10,000 people have come for recovery treatment and support.

​On-Site Services & Activities include:

• Pre-treatment recovery support and case management
• Information and referrals for social services and treatment, at Eva’s Village and in the community
• Free recovery support services: recovery coaching and peer support (not clinical treatment)
• Care coordination services
• Social and recreation events and activities
• Peer support groups and workshops–topics include: addiction; nutrition; physical health; mental health; sexuality; and spirituality (gender and culture-specific groups are offered)
• Opportunities to volunteer: train to become a recovery coach, lead or start a peer support group, learn how to help with telephone and community outreach, and office support

Our Center is a volunteer peer-to-peer run center – not a treatment program. We support long-term recovery by offering resources and links to community services and programs that help restore physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual health. We help individuals build a network of support to move toward an independent and purpose-filled life.

Our Center provides a welcoming and safe place for people seeking recovery before, during and after treatment, and throughout their ongoing recovery journeys. We believe there are many roads to recovery and we support each individual’s right to choose the path that best meets their own personal preferences, needs, and values.
