Emergency Overnight Shelters for Men and for Women
Eva's Village Emergency Overnight Shelters for Men and Women provide emergency shelter beds for people experiencing homelessness who are 18 years of age and older. The men's shelter has capacity for 29 men, with up to 54 in CODE BLUE weather emergencies as announced by the County of Passaic, Department of Human Services; while the women's shelter has capacity for 34 women, with up to 37.
The shelters are filled to capacity during most of the year with men and women who are struggling with primary health and mental health issues, substance use disorders, job loss and eviction. At Eva's Village we provide people experiencing homelessness with the basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing and provide linkages to services at Eva’s Village as well as in the Paterson community. Our goal is to provide a pathway to permanent supportive housing. |
